An Enduring Power of Attorney is the old style Lasting Power of Attorney which allows you to appoint a person (usually someone close to you or a professional) to deal with your affairs should you no longer wish to or become unable to do so in the future. The person you appoint is called an Attorney.
Although you can no longer complete an Enduring Power of Attorney you may be able to use an existing Enduring Power of Attorney. If you need to make a Lasting Power of Attorney, please see Lasting Powers of Attorney.
An Attorney is responsible for registering the Enduring Power of Attorney with the court if they feel that the person who appointed them is losing capacity.
